Open Distributed Campus (Open DC) ist eine Lernplattform mit einem innovativen Betreuungskonzept für ausländische Studierende. Sie wird mit Förderung vom DAAD vom Center für Digitale Systeme (CeDiS, Freie Universität Berlin) entwickelt. Open DC wird von CeDiS als Open-Source-Software zur Verfügung gestellt.

Das Online-Portal ist seit 2004 an der Freien Universität als Lernplattform im Einsatz und wird seit 2008 auch an der Universität Potsdam unter dem Namen UPrepare und an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena unter dem Namen InterCampus eingesetzt.

Die Materialsammlung umfasst mehr als 200 Module (Texte, Animationen, Bilder und Videos).

Der Konzeption von Open DC liegt ein Gruppen- und Rollenmodell zugrunde, das es ermöglicht, administrative von redaktionellen Schritten zu trennen. In sogenannten Timelines werden durch den Moderator die Vorbereitungs-Aufgaben für die Studierenden vergeben und deren erfolgreiche Bearbeitung verfolgt.
