Operand

Operand (von lat. operandum „das zu Bearbeitende“ zu operare „arbeiten“) steht für:

  • ein Objekt in der Strukturwissenschaft, auf das ein Operator (lat. „der (Be)arbeiter“), eine Vorschrift mit einer gewissen Funktion, angewandt wird. Teilweise spricht man vom Operanden als Argument der Funktion.
  • ein Teil bzw. Argument eines Ausdrucks in der Informatik.
  • ein Objekt, auf das eine mathematische Funktion oder Operator angewendet wird, siehe Operator (Mathematik) #Operand
  • Ein- oder Ausgabeadressen, Merker oder Variablen, mit denen bei der SPS-Programmierung Verknüpfungen durchgeführt werden, siehe Speicherprogrammierbare Steuerung #Operanden
