Operation Hannibal

Den Tarnnamen Operation Hannibal erhielten bisher zwei Ereignisse:

  • die Evakuierungsoperation von etwa zwei Millionen Menschen aus Ostpreußen über die Ostsee, die sich auf der Flucht vor der heranrückenden Roten Armee befanden. Für diese Operation, die am 21. Januar 1945 durch den Oberbefehlshaber der deutschen Kriegsmarine, Großadmiral Karl Dönitz eingeleitet wurde, siehe Operation Hannibal (1945)
