Die Weidenblättrige Birne (Pyrus salicifolia) ist eine Art der Gattung Birnen (Pyrus) in der Unterfamilie der Kernobstgewächse (Maloideae) innerhalb der Familie der Rosengewächse (Rosaceae).

Pflanzenbeschreibung

Es ist ein kleiner, sommergrüner Baum, der Wuchshöhen zwischen 4 und 6 Meter erreicht. Meist sind die Äste abwärts gebogen. Er besitzt graugrüne, schmale, weidenähnliche Laubblätter.

Herkunft

Die Heimat der Weidenblättrigen Birne reicht vom Kaukasus und Kleinasien bis südlich und westlich des Kaspischen Meeres.
