Quad-Layout

Als Quad-Layout wird ein Schaltungslayout bezeichnet, in dem zwei Transistoren so angeordnet werden, dass Störeinflüsse möglichst gering bleiben. Dazu werden beide Transistoren in je zwei parallel geschaltete Teiltransistoren aufgeteilt und diese vier Teiltransistoren über Kreuz angeordnet.

Mit dieser Anordnung werden Störeinflüsse minimiert, indem solche Störungen (z. B. Temperaturgradienten, Dotierungsgradienten) zwischen den beiden Transistoren gemittelt werden und linear davon abhängige Parameter der Schaltung ausgeglichen werden.

Das Quad-Layout ist eine spezielle Form des Common-centroid-Layouts.
