Rainbow Warrior (deutsch: Regenbogenkrieger) ist bzw. war der Name dreier Schiffe der Umweltschutzorganisation Greenpeace: Die Rainbow Warrior I wurde 1985 vom französischen Geheimdienst bei einem Bombenanschlag versenkt[1], die Rainbow Warrior II war von 1989 bis 2011 im Besitz von Greenpeace und die Rainbow Warrior III wurde im Oktober 2011 in Betrieb genommen.

Zudem bezeichnen sich die Aktivisten der Organisation selbst gelegentlich als Rainbow Warriors.

Der Name entstammt einer Legende, die erstmals 1962 im Buch Warriors of the Rainbow von William Willoya und Vinson Brown veröffentlicht wurde. Dort prophezeite eine indianische Frau einem kleinen Jungen, wenn die Erde verwüstet werde und die Tiere sterben, würde ein neuer Stamm auf die Welt kommen, der aus Menschen vieler Farben, Klassen und Glaubensrichtungen bestünde. Diese würden durch ihre Taten die Erde wieder grün machen und Krieger des Regenbogens (Warriors of the Rainbow) genannt werden.[2]
