Ruth Kelly
Ruth Maria Kelly (* 9. Mai 1968 in Limavady, Nordirland) ist eine britische Politikerin (Labour Party) und war von 2007 bis 2008 Verkehrsministerin in der Regierung von Gordon Brown.
Kelly gehört seit dem 1. Mai 1997 dem Unterhaus für Bolton West an und fungierte seitdem in verschiedenen Ämtern der Regierungen Blair und Brown, u. a. war sie von 2006 bis 2007 Frauenministerin.
Kelly ist Mitglied der katholischen Laienorganisation Opus Dei. Wegen dieser Mitgliedschaft [1] ist sie in liberalen Kreisen umstritten. </ref>
Ruth Kelly ist verheiratet und hat einen Sohn und drei Töchter.
