Tentative List

Tentativliste bezeichnet die Vorschlagsliste bedeutender Kultur- und Naturstätten zur Auszeichnung mit einem UNESCO-Welterbetitel.

In Deutschland werden mögliche Anträge zunächst von der jeweiligen Stätte in Zusammenarbeit mit dem für Denkmalschutz zuständigen Ministerium des entsprechenden Bundeslandes bearbeitet. Die Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) erstellt aus den aus den einzelnen Bundesländern kommenden Vorschlägen eine deutsche Vorschlagsliste.

Die Tentativliste dient nach der Verabschiedung durch die KMK als Grundlage für künftige Anmeldungen. Nur die Stätten, die mindestens ein Jahr lang auf der offiziellen deutschen Tentativliste eingetragen waren, können im nächsten Schritt Anträge zur Aufnahme in die Welterbeliste bei der UNESCO einreichen.
