The Bobby Fuller Four

The Bobby Fuller Four waren eine US-amerikanische Rock-Band der frühen 60er Jahre.

Gegründet wurde die Band 1960 von Robert Fuller in El Paso, Texas, USA. Anfangs spielten sie ähnliche Musik wie Buddy Hollys Band Crickets und erlangten so einen sehr guten Ruf.

Mitte der 60er Jahre erschien dann ihre erste Single Let Her Dance, die jedoch noch keinen Erfolg brachte. Der kam erst mit der zweiten Platte I Fought The Law. Kurz darauf gab Bobby Fuller auch sein Debüt als Schauspieler in dem Spielfilm Bikini Party in a Haunted House.

Am 18. Juli 1966 fand man Bobby Fuller erstickt in seinem Auto. Offensichtlich hatte er Suizid begangen.

I Fought The Law wurde sehr viel später von den Clash gecovert.
