Toad the Wet Sprocket

Toad the Wet Sprocket ist eine 1986 in Santa Barbara (Kalifornien) gegründete US-amerikanische Alternative-Rock-Gruppe und besteht aus Sänger Glen Phillips, Gitarrist Todd Nichols, Bassist Dean Dinning und Schlagzeuger Randy Guss. Die Gruppe löste sich 1998 auf, tourte aber 2002/03 und 2006 in alter Besetzung wieder durch die USA.

In den USA konnte die Band diverse Charterfolge feiern:

• All I Want (aus dem Album Fear, 1992) war ihr erster Top40-Hit
• Walk on the Ocean (ebenfalls aus Fear), wurde von John Mayer gecovert
• Fall Down (aus Dulcinea, 1994) war wochenlang Nr. 1 in Alternative Rock Charts
• Something’s Alway Wrong (aus Dulcinea, 1994)
