Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. ist eine Holdinggesellschaft, die Casino-Hotels in den USA besitzt, betreibt und verwaltet. Die Gesellschaft entstand 2005 durch Restrukturierungsmaßnahmen der Vorgängergesellschaft "Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts". Geschäftsführer ist Mark Juliano, Donald J. Trump ist Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender.
Geschichte
2004 suchte die "Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts"-Gesellschaft nach Wegen ihre aufgelaufenen Schulden zu tilgen. In dieser Zeit gab es mehrfach Spekulationen, ob der Firma ein Bankrott droht. Eine mögliche Vereinbarung mit der Credit Suisse war im Vorfeld gescheitert, da die Anleihegläubiger den Deal ablehnten.
Casinos
In Atlantic City betreibt die Gesellschaft drei Casinos:
- Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort (Boardwalk)
- Trump Plaza (Boardwalk)
- Trump Marina (Marina District)
Das Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, das ebenfalls zum Unternehmen gehört, wird derzeit für 250 Millionen Dollar renoviert und um einen neuen Hotel Tower erweitert.[1]
Trump Marke
Der äußerst bekannte Name Trump wird sehr stark von der Gesellschaft für Marketingzwecke eingesetzt. Sämtliche Immobilien-Geschäfte von Donald Trump, sowie andere Unternehmungen werden jedoch von der "Trump Organization" verwaltet, die unabhängig von der Trump Entertainment Resorts Holdinggesellschaft arbeitet.
