Vignéras

Marie-France Vignéras, geborene Guého, ist eine französische Mathematikerin, die sich mit Zahlentheorie und algebraischer Geometrie beschäftigt.

Vigneras studierte an der Universität Bordeaux, wo sie 1972 ihr Diplom machte (Thèse de 3eme Cycle) mit einer Arbeit über Zahlentheorie der Quaternionen (über die schon Adolf Hurwitz und Martin Eichler gearbeitet hatten). Aus demselben Umfeld stammt ihre Dissertation von 1974 in Bordeaux. 1980 erschien ihr Buch Arithmetique des algebres de quaternions[1]. Später beschäftigte sie sich unter anderem mit Darstellungstheorie in der Arithmetik im Umkreis der Langlands-Vermutungen und mit p-adischen Darstellungen. Sie ist Professorin am Institute de Mathematiques de Jussieu in Paris.
