Bodil Awards

Die Bodil (Bodil Prisen) ist der älteste dänische Filmpreis. Er wird seit 1948 jedes Jahr in einer großen Gala in Kopenhagen vergeben und richtet sich vor allem an dänische Produktionen.

Im Gegensatz zum von der dänischen Filmakademie ausgerichteten Robert Filmfestival wird die Bodil vom Verband der Filmkritiker verliehen.

Der Filmpreis wurde eingeführt um der in der Nachkriegszeit aufstrebenden dänischen Filmindustrie europaweite Aufmerksamkeit zu verschaffen. Erstmals wurde er am 29. April 1948 im Kopenhagener Nobelrestaurant Ambassadeur vergeben. Benannt ist er nach der dänischen Schauspielerin Bodil Kjer (1917-2003), die im Jahr 1997 für ihr Lebenswerk mit einem Bodil-Preis ausgezeichnet wurde.

Neben diesen gibt es auch drei in unregelmäßigen Abständen verliehene Preise - den Johan Ankerstjernes Fotografpris (benannt nach dem dänischen Kameramann Johan Ankerstjerne) für herausragende Kameraarbeit, den Sonderpreis Bodil særpriser für besondere Leistungen in sonstigen filmischen Bereichen und den Ehrenpreis Årets Sær für das Lebenswerk.
