Brian Bates

Brian Bates (* 3. November 1944) ist ein britischer Psychologe.

Bates wurde in England geboren und wuchs dort auf. Heute lebt er in der ländlichen Gegend von Sussex im Süden Englands. Bates ist Professor für Psychologie an der Universität Brighton und leitet das Forschungszentrum für Schamanismus an der Universität Sussex. Er hält auch Lehrstühle an den Universitäten von Kalifornien, Berkeley und Oregon und tritt gelegentlich auch in Radio- und Fernsehsendungen auf. Er ist Autor von sechs internationalen Bestsellern, z. B. The Way of Wyrd, The Real Middle-Earth oder The Human Face.
