Das Digitaltarnmuster CADPAT in der Variante „Arid Region“.

CADPAT, oder CAnadian Disruptive PATtern, war das weltweit erste computergestützt entwickelte Digitaltarnmuster. Es wird seit 2002 als Tarnmuster von den kanadischen Streitkräften für Uniformteile (Tarnkleidung) verwendet und ist urheberrechtlich geschützt.

Nach einer Entwicklungszeit von fast zehn Jahren kam das Muster in zwei Ausführungen zum Einsatz, wobei es sich nicht um zweiseitig bedruckte Wendestoffe handelt. Dem CADPAT liegt als Basis das deutsche Flecktarn zugrunde, das ab 1936 entwickelt worden ist. Es wurde in zwei Ausführungen eingeführt:

  • Temperate Woodland (TW) für nördliche Klimazonen mit Wald und Buschland
  • Arid Region (AR) für südliche Klimazonen mit Trockenland, Wüsten- und Savannen

CADPAT TW wurde 2002 zum Standardtarnmuster des kanadischen Heeres, gefolgt von der kanadischen Luftwaffe im Jahr 2004.
