Bransfield Island ist eine Insel der Joinville-Inseln vor dem antarktischen Grahamland, das näher an Südamerika liegt als jeder andere Teil des Kontinents.[1]
Bransfield Island wurde im Januar/Februar 1820 auf Karten erstmals eingetragen und wurde nach Edward Bransfield benannt.
