Gregory F. Lawler

Gregory Francis Lawler (* 14. Juli 1955) ist ein US-amerikanischer Mathematiker, der sich mit Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie beschäftigt.

Lawler studierte an der University of Virginia (Bachelor-Abschluss 1976) und an der Princeton University, wo er 1979 bei Edward Nelson promovierte (A self avoiding random walk). Danach war er an der Duke University, zuletzt als Professor, und ab 2001 an der Cornell University. Ab 2006 ist er Professor an der University of Chicago.

Lawler ist bekannt für seine Arbeiten zur Schramm-Löwner-Evolution (nach Oded Schramm). Für diese Arbeiten erhielt er 2006 mit Wendelin Werner und Oded Schramm den George-Pólya-Preis.
