Sieben Schiffe der britischen Royal Navy trugen den Namen HMS Dido nach Dido, der sagenhaften Gründerin und Königin von Karthago.

  • HMS Dido (1784), eine Fregatte mit 28 Kanonen, die 1784 vom Stapel lief und 1817 zum Abwracken verkauft wurde.
  • HMS Dido (1836), eine Korvette mit 18 Kanonen, die 1836 vom Stapel lief, ab 1860 als Kohlenhulk diente und 1903 verkauft wurde.
  • HMS Dido war als hölzerne Korvette mit Schraubenantrieb geplant. Sie wurde 1861 auf Kiel gelegt, aber der Bau wurde im Dezember 1863 eingestellt.
  • HMS Dido (1869), eine hölzerne Korvette der Eclipse-Klasse mit Schraubenantrieb, die 1869 vom Stapel lief, 1886 in eine Hulk umgewandelt wurde, 1906 in HMS Actaeon umgetauft und 1922 verkauft wurde.
  • HMS Dido (1896), ein Kreuzer der Eclipse-Klasse, die 1896 vom Stapel lief, ab 1913 als Depotschiff diente und 1926 verkauft wurde.
  • HMS Dido (37) war ein Leichter Kreuzer der Dido-Klasse, der 1939 vom Stapel lief und 1958 zum Abwracken verkauft wurde.
  • HMS Dido (F104) war eine Fregatte der Leander-Klasse, die 1961 vom Stapel lief. Sie wurde 1983 an Neuseeland verkauft und in HMNZS Southland umbenannt. 1995 wurde sie endgültig außer Dienst gestellt und als künstliches Riff versenkt.
