Jakob Basevi (* 1780 in Mantua; † 1846) war ein italienischer Rechtsanwalt und ist heute besonders als Verteidiger Andreas Hofers bekannt. Nach dessen Hinrichtung übersiedelte er nach Mailand. Er ist auch der Verfasser zahlreicher Schriften gegen die Todesstrafe.
