Der Malvathu ist ein 164 km langer Fluss in Sri Lanka. Er ist der zweitgrößte Fluss des Landes. Der Fluss verbindet Anuradhapura, die Hauptstadt der Nördlichen Zentralprovinz, mit der Küste von Mannar. Der nördliche Teil des Flusses wird Aruvi Aru oder Aruvi genannt, manchmal auch der komplette Fluss.
