Nairobi-Marathon

Der Nairobi-Marathon ist ein Marathon in der kenianischen Hauptstadt Nairobi und wird seit 2003 jährlich in der Regel Ende Oktober ausgetragen. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung werden außerdem ein Halbmarathon und ein 10-Kilometer-Lauf sowie ein so genannter Family Fun Run von etwa 4 Kilometern Länge angeboten.

Der Nairobi-Marathon zählt zu den größten Veranstaltungen seiner Art in Afrika und gehörte zu der inzwischen eingestellten Wettkampfserie The Greatest Race on Earth. Er gilt aufgrund der Höhenlage der Strecke (ca. 1.650 m ü. M.) als sehr anspruchsvolles Rennen.
