Der O.M.R. Oil Market Report ist ein Preisfindungsinstrument, das seit 1985 Nachrichten und Fakten überwiegend auf den internationalen Ölmärkten aufzeichnet. Die Aufzeichnung erfolgt über die Ölterminbörsen wie New York, London und A.R.A. (Amsterdam, Rotterdam & Antwerpen). Dabei werden die wichtigsten marktrelevanten Daten, Nachrichten und Fakten sowie politische Faktoren zusammengefasst und mit einer geringen Zeitverzögerung weitergegeben und je nach Modul veröffentlicht. Die Abonnenten von O.M.R. Oil Market Report haben somit die Möglichkeit unabhängige und vor allem objektive Daten von Marktgeschehen zu erhalten. [1]

Die Entwicklung des Unternehmens

Die Gründung des Unternehmens erfolgte 1985 in Wrist durch den derzeitigen Geschäftsführer und Chefredakteur Reinhard Kahnau. Der Hauptsitz wurde 2008 nach Kellinghusen verlegt.

Weitere Büros befinden sich:

  • in Kiel seit 1997,
  • in Bremen seit 2000,
  • in Karlsruhe seit 2003 und
  • in Frankfurt seit 2008.

Die Entwicklung der Berichtsinhalte

Die Berichtsinhalte des O.M.R. Oil Market Report beinhalten im Rahmen der Preisberichterstattung von Anbeginn bis heute, die konstante Darstellung des Rotterdamer Ölmarktes mit entsprechenden Produkt-Notierungen für Barges (Tankleichter) fob ARA und Cargos (Seetanker) cif NWE. Erweitert wurden diese Publikationen mit den Großhandelspreisen im Inland (Deutschland) sowie Ausland (Österreich und Schweiz).

O.M.R.–Inlandsquotierungen

Die historische Entwicklung der Inlandsnotierungen begann 1985 mit wöchentlichen Notierungen für Normal- und Superbenzin, Leichtes Heizöl und Schweres Heizöl in DM je Tonne. Den Anforderungen des Marktes und dem Tempo der ICE (International Petroleum Exchange) in London mit zunehmenden Schwankungen folgend, wurden aus wöchentlichen Notierungen dann tägliche Notierungen.
