Werk

Die Produktionsfläche erstreckt sich über 930,000 m². Durch Zusammenlegung von zwei Produktionslinien wurde das Werk 2008 in eine Art flexible Produktionsstätte umgebaut. Es arbeiten ungefähr 5400 Zeitarbeiter and 400 festangestellte Arbeitskräfte im Werk.

Produktion

Hier werden Pkws für General Motors gefertigt. Das Werk ist ist eines der größten Autowerke weltweit und Teil des größeren GM Autoplex, zu dem auch das Oshawa Truck Assembly gehört. Derzeit werden der Chevrolet Impala und die fünfte Generation des Chevrolet Camaro im Werk produziert.[1] Vermutlich 2012 startet hier die Fertigung des kommenden Cadillac XTS.

Auszeichnungen

Das Werk gewann zahlreiche Auszeichnungen für die hohe Qualität der Produktion, darunter die goldene Werksauszeichnung als das Werk mit der höchsten Ausgangsqualität unter allen Kraftfahrzeug-Produktionsstätten in Nordamerika.[2]
