See Me Feel Me/Listening to You ist ein Teil des Lieds We’re Not Gonna Take It, das von Pete Townshend von The Who geschrieben wurde.

Hintergrund

Das Lied ist das Finale der Rock-Oper Tommy von The Who.[1] See Me. Feel Me/Listening To You stellte auch einen der bemerkenswertesten Momente des Woodstock-Festivals von 1969 dar.The Who spielten das Lied zum Sonnenaufgang am dritten Tag des Festivals. Die Szene ist im Film The Kids Are Alright[2] und im Woodstock-Film zu sehen.

See Me, Feel Me wurde auf Grund des Erfolgs beim Woodstock-Festivals in den USA auch als Single veröffentlicht.[3] Das Lied erreichte in den USA Platz 12 der Billboard Pop Single Charts.

Coverversionen

Im deutschsprachigen Raum verballhornte der Komiker Otto Waalkes das Stück als Tommy, die Weihnachtsgans: See Me, Feel Me, Kill Me, Grill Me.
