Timmy Dooley

Timmy Dooley (* 13. Februar 1969 im County Clare) ist ein irischer Politiker (Fianna Fáil) und seit 1997 Abgeordneter im Dáil Éireann, dem Unterhaus des irischen Parlaments.

Dooley besuchte die Mountshannon National School und das Scariff Community College im County Clare. Vor seiner politischen Karriere war er als Geschäftsmann in den Bereichen Verkauf und Marketing für IT-Unternehmen und Verlagsgesellschaften tätig. Im Jahr 2002 wurde er in den 22. Seanad Éireann gewählt und gehörte diesem bis 2007. Dooley schied jedoch nach seiner Wahl in den 30. Dáil Éireann, wie in einem solchen Fall üblich ist, vorzeitig aus dem Senat aus. Bei der Wahl zum 31. Dáil Éireann trat er erneut im Wahlkreis Clare an und konnte seinen Sitz verteidigen.

Dooley ist verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder. Aktives Mitglied in der Fianna Fáil ist er seit 1987.
