Tom Schmelzer (* 1966 in München) ist ein deutscher Bildhauer und Konzeptkünstler.

Leben

Tom Schmelzer studierte Neue Medien an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in München. Daneben studierte er Philosophie und Humanmedizin. Vor seiner Arbeit als Künstler war er Summer Associate bei McKinsey und als Arzt auf den Philippinen tätig.

1999 erhielt er den Ebersberger Kunstpreis,[1] der seit 1990 vom Kunstverein in der Stadt Ebersberg vergeben wird.
