Clarry Bartha (* 1956 in Vasteras) ist eine schwedische Sopranistin ungarischer Abstammung.

Leben

Bartha studierte am Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rom bei Maria Teresia Pediconi, ihr Meisterklassendiplom erhielt sie bei Giorgio Favaretto an der Accademia Santa Cecilia. Bartha führte ihr Studium bei Vera Rosza in London weiter. Sie war die erste Preisträgerin bei den Internationalen Gesangswettbewerben „Beniamino Gigli“ und „Vincenzo Bellini“ in Italien.

Ihr Debut gab sie am Königlichen Theater Drottningholm in der Rolle der Donna Anna in Mozarts „Don Giovanni“. Diese und andere Mozart-Rollen wie Fiordiligi, Gräfin und die Erste Dame und andere Rollen führten sie in Opernhäuser wie Opera Comique, Palais Garniere und Opéra Bastille. Sie stand unter anderem in Marseille, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, im Royal Opera House und der Welsh National Opera auf der Bühne. An der Oper Frankfurt war sie von 1987 bis 1994 Ensemblemitglied. Dort sang sie unter anderem Rollen wie Desdemona, Rusalka, Tatiana, Antonia und Elsa.

Im Mai 2008 singt Clarry Bartha die Titelrolle der deutschen Uraufführung der Opernversion von „Die bitteren Tränen der Petra von Kant“ in der Oper Basel, basierend auf dem gleichnamigen Film von Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
