Eric S. Nylund

Eric S. Nylund (* 1964) ist ein US-amerikanischer Autor, der durch seine Halo-Romane Bekanntheitsgrad erlangt hat. Zurzeit arbeitet er für Microsoft als Verfasser weiterer Romane.

Er hat einen Universitätsabschluss in Chemie und chemischer Physik. 1994 nahm er am Clarion West Writer's Workshop teil und hat daraufhin mehrere Romane veröffentlicht, darunter die Cyber-Thriller A Signal Shattered und Signal to Noise, den Science-Fantasy-Roman A Game of Universe, die Fantasy-Romane Pawn's Dream, Dry Water und auch den offiziellen Roman zum Spiel Crimson Skies zusammen mit Mike Lee, Eric S. Trautmann und Nancy Berman. Dry Water wurde 1997 für den World Fantasy Award nominiert.

Heute lebt Nylund mit der Science-Fiction-Autorin Syne Mitchell in North Bend (Seattle). Am 3. Februar 2009 erschien sein Roman Mortal Croils auf englisch. Ein deutscher Veröffentlichungstermin ist noch unbekannt. Daneben arbeitete er noch mit am Graphic Novel Halo Wars: Genesis zusammen mit Phil Noto und Graeme Devine. Es erschien im Jahr 2009 in der Halo Wars Limited Edition.
