FAME Cooperation

FAME Cooperation ist ein Dachverband gemeinnütziger Organisationen an der wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Maastricht, Maastricht, Niederlande. Sie verbindet die Organisationen EFM Academy, 3MA, FS Focus, ies network und Vectum.[1] FAME ging 2002 aus EFM hervor, nachdem die beiden Studentenorganisationen EFM Alfa und EFM Imperator fucionierten. Die FAME Cooperation deckt mit ihren Mitgliedsorganisationen alle Bereiche der Fakultät ab, wobei die Zielgruppen der Organisationen eng definiert sind um unnötigen Wettbewerb zu vermeiden. EFM Academy ist für die Bachelor-Studenten der Fächer International Business und Economics zuständig, die sich noch nicht für eine bestimmte Fachrichtung oder ein bestimmtes Hauptfach entschieden haben. Die meisten Studenten sind innerhalb der ersten drei bis vier Semester Mitglied von EFM Academy, bis ihre Mitgliedschaft auf eine der anderen Organisationen übertragen wird. Dies geschieht normalerweise sobald sie sich für ihre Studienrichtung oder ihr Hauptfach entschieden haben. Ausnahme bilden die Econometrics-Studenten, welche vom ersten Semester an Mitglied in Vectum werden.

Mitgliedschaft

Mitglieder von FAME erhalten Vergünstigungen auf alle Eintrittsgelder der Organisationen sowie einen Rabatt im FAME Cooperation Bookstore von 14%. In den meisten Jahren werden über 90% aller Erstjahresstudenten der Studiengänge International Business und Economics Mitglied in der FAME Cooperation. Die Mitgliederdatenbank beinhaltet zur Zeit 3415 Mitglieder (Stand: 30. September 2008).

Aufteilung der Aufgaben

Die Funktionen innerhalb der FAME Cooperation sind auf die verschiedenen Mitgliedsorganisationen aufgeteilt. So übernimmt EFM Academy die Funktion des Treasurer für FAME und verwaltet z.B. die Mitgliederbeiträge für alle Organisationen.
