Flop steht für:

  • einen Misserfolg, einen Reinfall, eine Pleite, meist aus kommerzieller Sicht; nach englisch flop („Misserfolg“, „Reinfall“); Gegenteil von Hit
  • den Fosbury-Flop, siehe Hochsprung
  • die ersten drei Gemeinschaftskarten beim Pokern, siehe Community Cards
  • Flipflop, bistabile Kippstufe in der Elektronik
  • FLOPS, FLoating point OPerations per Second, Geschwindigkeitsmaß für Computersysteme oder Prozessoren
  • Floppy, von engl. Floppy Disk, eine Kurzbezeichnung für Diskette
  • Koloristische Unterschiede eines Beschichtungsstoffes (z. B. eines Effektlackes) unter verschiedenen Betrachtungswinkeln, siehe Flop (Lack)
