Florence ist eine Stadt im Lauderdale County im US-Bundesstaat Alabama, USA, mit 35.900 Einwohner (Stand: 2004) und Sitz der County-Verwaltung. Die geographischen Koordinaten sind: 34,83° Nord, 87,67° West. Die Stadtfläche beträgt 64,8 km².

Die Stadt wurde 1818 vom Grödner Ingenieur Ferdinand Sannoner gegründet und geplant. Sannoner benannte die Stadt nach der Hauptstadt der Toskana Florenz.
