Alan Longmuir

Alan George Longmuir (* 20. Juni 1948 in Edinburgh, Schottland) ist ein britischer Musiker. Er spielt E-Bass, Gitarre und Keyboard.

Er ist der Sohn eines Totengräbers und hat zwei ältere Schwestern Betty und Alice sowie einen jüngeren Bruder Derek. Sie wuchsen in einem sehr musikalischen Haus auf. Zusammen mit seinem Bruder Derek und ihrem Vetter Neil Porteous gründeten sie eine Band mit dem Namen Potias. Anfangs arbeitete er noch nebenbei als Klempner. Als dann Bay City Rollers.

1995 hatte er einen Herzinfarkt und erlitt dann zwei Jahre später einen weiteren.
