Frederick Spencer, 4. Earl Spencer KG CB PC (* 14. April 1798; † 27. Dezember 1857) war ein britischer Admiral.
Leben
Frederick Spencer trat nach seinem Abschluss im Eton College in die Royal Navy ein, und zeichnete sich 1827 in der Schlacht von Navarino aus. 1845 erbte er den Titel und Güter seines verstorbenen Bruders John Spencer, 3. Earl Spencer.
Vom Juli 1846 bis September 1848 war er Lord Chamberlain of the Household, und avancierte 1852 zum Konteradmiral und übernahm Anfang 1854 als Nachfolger des Henry Howard, 13. Duke of Norfolk, das Amt eines Lord Steward of the Household.
Familie
Spencer war insgesamt zweimal verheiratet. Er hatte einen Sohn und zwei Töchter aus erster Ehe und einen weiteren Sohn und eine weitere Tochter aus zweiter Ehe. Sein Sohn John erbte bei seinem Tode den Titel.
