Die Akademie für digitale Medienproduktion (Selbstbezeichnung auch: "German Film School") war eine Ausbildungseinrichtung in privater Trägerschaft in Elstal, Brandenburg, die Ende 2007 Insolvenz anmelden musste.

Status

Durch Ablehnung einer Verlängerung der staatlichen Anerkennung 2007 hat die Schule ihren Hochschulstatus verloren. Nach der Rechtsauffassung des Wissenschaftsministeriums darf sich die Schule ab September 2007 nicht mehr Hochschule für digitale Medienproduktion nennen. Die Abschlüsse „Diplom“, „Bachelor of Arts“ und „Master of Arts“ darf die Schule nicht mehr vergeben, da diese Abschlüsse nur von staatlichen bzw. staatlich anerkannten Hochschulen vergeben werden dürfen.[1]

Die Akademie hat am 28. November 2007 wegen drohender Zahlungsunfähigkeit Insolvenz angemeldet. [2]

Für die von der Insolvenz betroffenen Studenten gibt es die Möglichkeit, ihr Studium zum Digital Artist an der Babelsberg Film School der Mediadesign Hochschule Berlin fortzusetzen.
