Der de Havilland Gipsy Major oder Gipsy IIIa war ein Flugmotor des britischen Herstellers de Havilland Aircraft Company aus dem Jahr 1932. Er war eine Weiterentwicklung des Gipsy III.

Der Gipsy Major war ein luftgekühlter hängender 4-Zylinder-Reihenmotor mit einem Hubraum von 374 Kubikzoll (ca. 6,1 Liter). Die 1932 begonnene Produktion endete nach Auslieferung von 14.615 Exemplaren. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg entstanden weitere Triebwerke unter Lizenz als Alfa Romeo 110.

Die Anordnung der Zylinder unterhalb des Kurbelgehäuses erlaubte es, den Propeller relativ hoch anzubringen, ohne dass den Piloten der kleineren Flugzeuge die Sicht durch die Zylinder versperrt wurde.
