HMS Amazon

Mehrere Schiffe der Royal Navy führten den Namen HMS Amazon nach den mythischen weiblichen Kriegern.

  • HMS Amazon (1795)
  • Die erste Fregatte, die 1799 in Woolwich vom Stapel lief und 1817 abgebrochen wurde.
  • Die zweite Zerstörer der Tribal-Klasse, der während des Ersten Weltkriegs in Dover stationiert war. Das Schiff wurde 1919 abgewrackt.
  • Die dritte HMS Amazon, lief 1926 als zweiter Zerstörer der Royal Navy nach Ende des Ersten Weltkriegs vom Stapel. Er wurde im Zweiten Weltkrieg im Geleitdienst eingesetzt und 1949 verschrottet.
  • Die vierte Typs 21 und die einzige der Serie, die nicht im Falklandkrieg eingesetzt wurde. 1993 wurde sie an Pakistan verkauft und in Kategorie:
