Alma ist eine Stadt in der kanadischen Provinz Québec.

Alma liegt in der Region Saguenay-Lac St. Jean. Die gängigste Sprache in dieser Region ist französisch. Mit einer Einwohnerzahl von 29.998 im Jahr 2006 ist Alma die größte Stadt am Lac Saint-Jean.[1]

Die Winter sind meist besonders kalt (-20 bis -45 °C möglich) und lange (November bis April meist Schnee). Beliebtes Ausflugsziel in der Umgebung ist vor allem der Lac Saint-Jean.

Mélanie Turgeon, die Abfahrtsweltmeisterin des Jahres 2003, wurde in Alma geboren, ebenso der Schauspieler Michel Côté.
