House of Assembly (Barbados)

Das House of Assembly (deutsch: Versammlungshaus) ist das Unterhaus im Zweikammersystem von Barbados.

Die Wurzeln des Parlaments reichen bis in das Jahr 1639 zurück, als die Abgeordneten des House of Burgesses, Vorläufer des House of Assembly, zur ersten Sitzung zusammentraten.

Es besteht aus 30 Abgeordneten, die für fünf Jahre nach dem Mehrheitswahlsystem gewählt werden. Aus der letzten Wahl am 21. Mai 2003 ging die Barbados Labour Party als Wahlsieger hervor. Owen Arthur wurde daraufhin Premierminister.
