Die Interlingua Language Services GmbH (ILS) ist ein österreichisches Übersetzungsunternehmen. Sie ist die Muttergesellschaft der Interlingua Sesvete und United Linguas in Prag. Sie hat ihren Sitz in Wien im Sterbehaus Beethovens.
Geschichte
Das Unternehmen entstand 1977. Die ILS Gruppe entstand 1980, aus ihr ging im Jahre 2000 die Interlingua Language Services GmbH hervor, welche zur Zeit weltweit 45 Mitarbeiter und 350 Freelancer beschäftigt.
Es erstellte Übersetzungen in alle West- und Osteuropäische Sprachen sowie die führenden asiatischen Sprachen. In den 1980er Jahren expandierte das Unternehmen in den Osten. 1980 zu Zeiten des eisernen Vorhangs zeichnete sich Interlingua durch die Internationalisierung in den Ländern des Warschauer Pakts aus. 2006 wurde sie als erstes Unternehmen in Österreich nach der EU-Norm für Sprachdienstleistungen ÖNORM EN 15038 zertifiziert.
