Die International Strategic Studies Association (ISSA) ist eine wichtige Denkfabrik, die weltweit Regierungen in Fragen der Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik berät.
Die ISSA wurde 1982 gegründet und ist in Alexandria im US-amerikanischen Bundesstaat Virginia ansässig. Sie richtet regelmäßig Konferenzen aus, an denen führende Wissenschaftler aus aller Welt teilnehmen. Die Nichtstaatliche Organisation (NGO) gilt als eher konservativ. Schwerpunkte ihrer Arbeit bilden der Nahe Osten, der Kaukasus, die Türkei, Libyen, Pakistan, Zypern und der Balkan.
Die International Strategic Studies Association ist zudem Herausgeber des renommierten Journals Defense & Foreign Affairs.
