Barak Itzhaki (* 25. September 1984 in Askalon) ist ein israelischer Fußballspieler, der zurzeit beim Beitar Jerusalem spielt.

Vereinskarriere

Der Stürmer stammt aus der Jugend von Hapoel Askalon. Im Jahr 2003 holte der aktuelle israelische Meister Beitar Jerusalem Barak in ihr Team. Bei Beitar Jerusalem spielte er 5 Jahre lang und erzielte 18 Tore. Im Januar 2008 wechselte Barak Itzhaki für eine Ablösesumme von $1Mio. zum belgischen Verein KRC Genk, wo er einen 3,5 Jahre langen Vertrag unterschrieb. Beim KRC Genk spielt zudem noch sein Landsmann Elyaniv Barda. Itzhaki trägt beim Verein die Nummer 99. Nach nur einem halben Jahr entschloss sich Itzhaki jedoch zu einer Rückkehr nach Jerusalem und unterschrieb bei Beitar Jerusalem einen Vierjahresvertrag. Presseberichten zufolge soll sich die Ablösesumme auf 1.2 Millionen Euro belaufen haben.

Nationalmannschaftskarriere

Am 2. Juni 2007 gab Itzhaki gegen Mazedonien sein Debüt für die A-Nationalmannschaft.
