Korea Electric Power Corporation

Das Unternehmen Korea Electric Power Corp., auch bekannt unter der Abkürzung KEPCO, ist das staatliche Energieversorgungsunternehmen Südkoreas. Das Unternehmen entstand am 1. Juli 1961 aus dem Zusammenschluss von drei regionalen koreanischen Energieversorgern Chosun, Kyungsung und Namsun und wurde unter dem Namen KECO (Korea Electric Company) geführt. Am 1. Januar 1982 wurde das Unternehmen vollkommen verstaatlicht und trägt seit dem seinen jetzigen Namen.

Aufgrund der Abkürzung und der Branche kommt es oftmals zu Verwechslungen mit dem japanischen Energieversorger Kansai Electric Power Company.
