Anime Nation

Die Anime Nation ist die erste deutschsprachige CD-Compilation, auf der bekannte Anime-Songs im japanischen Original veröffentlicht werden. Bisher sind 6 CDs erschienen, die Erste erschien am 23. Juni 2003, seitdem folgt etwa alle 6 bis 9 Monate eine neue Ausgabe. Die CDs werden von Animerecords veröffentlicht.

Ursprünglich war es geplant, jede CD unter ein bestimmtes Thema zu stellen. So stand Ausgabe 2 unter dem Motto Special Shojo Power, es erschienen hauptsächlich Songs von weiblichen Interpreten. Außerdem gab es Special Features zu Para Para und Two-Mix. Auf allen seitdem erschienen CDs gab es dann allerdings doch keine bestimmten Themen mehr, auf Ausgabe 6 waren aber viele Songs aus Fußball-Anime enthalten, da zu diesem Zeitpunkt die Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 in Deutschland aktuell war.

Ab Ausgabe 5 sind neben Songs auch japanische Musikvideos auf den CDs enthalten.

Weitere deutsche Compilations mit japanischen Songs sind die von der Zeitschrift AnimaniA unterstützte Animission (nach 2 Ausgaben eingestellt) sowie JPop Manga.

Nach längerer Pause, wird die Reihe seit März 2010 als New Anime Nation fortgesetzt, ist nun allerdings nur noch als Download verfügbar.
