Lukusuzi National Park ist 2.540 km² groß und liegt im Luangwatal östlich des Flusses knapp 100 km nördlich von Chipata in Sambia.

Der Park liegt auf einem Plateau etwas überhalb des Tales und ist ziemlich heruntergekommen. Fast die Hälfte des Parkes besteht aus Plateau, die andere aus felsigem Gelände. Miombowald ist dominant bis zu den Auen am Flussufern. Auf dem Plateau findet sich rollendes Grasland.

Es ist völlig unklar, wieviele Tiere die Wilderei der letzten Jahre überlebt haben. Ansonsten ist hier mehr als der Löwe die Hyäne der wichtigste Jäger. Die heute hier lebenden Arten entsprechen denen in den übrigen Luangwaparks, also Elefanten, Gnu, Eland, Roan, Säbelantilope, Klippspringer und Warzenschwein. Etwas südlich liegt der bedeutend atrraktivere Südluangwa-Nationalpark, etwas nördlich der Nordluangwa-Nationalpark.
