MSDNAA

MSDN Academic Alliance, kurz MSDNAA, ist ein Lizenzprogramm der Firma Microsoft, an dem Hochschulen, wie etwa Universitäten und Fachhochschulen, sowie Berufsschulen gegen eine jährliche Mitgliedsgebühr teilnehmen können. Als Gegenwert kann die Einrichtung Produkte wie Windows XP, Windows Vista, Visual Studio, Visual Source Safe oder MS SQL Server 2000 kostenlos erhalten und diese in ihren Laboratorien einsetzen und benutzen.

Des Weiteren können Studenten der Hochschule, sowie Auszubildende der Berufsschule mit der entsprechenden Fachrichtung ebenfalls kostenlos obige Produkte, für den privaten nicht kommerziellen Gebrauch und zur Weiterbildung erhalten und bei sich zu Hause benutzen.

Auch wenn der Name ähnlich ist, ist das MSDNAA-Lizenzprogramm nicht Teil der MSDN Subscription[1] des Microsoft Developer Networks (MSDN).
