Margaret Forster

Margaret Forster (* 25. Mai 1938 in Carlisle) ist eine britische Lehrerin, Journalistin und Schriftstellerin. Sie studierte Geschichte am Somerville College in Oxford. Neben ihren bei Penguin veröffentlichten Romanen erschienen Biographien. 1975 wurde sie Mitglied der Royal Society of Literature.

Sie ist mit dem Schriftsteller und Radiojournalisten Hunter Davies verheiratet und hat drei Kinder.

Ihre Romane Das Vermächtnis meiner Mutter, Ich warte darauf, dass etwas geschieht, Schattenkinder und Dieses so kostbare Leben wurden von Roseli[1] und Saskia Bontjes van Beek[2] ins Deutsche übertragen.
