Matt Stover

Matt Stover (* 27. Januar 1968 in Dallas) ist ein US-amerikanischer Footballspieler.

Er gilt als einer der akkuratesten Kicker der National Football League (NFL).

In seiner Collegezeit spielte er für Louisiana Tech und erzielte 64 Field Goals in 88 Versuchen. Mit einem Field Goal aus 57 Yards stellte er einen Schulrekord auf.

1990 wurde er von den New York Giants gedraftet und wechselte 1991 zu den Cleveland Browns. 1996 ging er zu den Baltimore Ravens und gewann mit ihnen den 35. Super Bowl. 2009 wurde er von den Indianapolis Colts engagiert, nachdem sich deren Kicker Adam Vinatieri verletzt hatte. Mit den Colts erreichte er den Einzug in Super Bowl XLIV.
