MeshPubMed

MeshPubMed ist nach GoPubMed die zweite wissensbasierte Suchmaschine für biomedizinische Texte. Die Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) werden als "Inhaltsverzeichnis" benutzt, um die ca. 16 Millionen Artikel der Datenbank MEDLINE (Stand 2006) zu strukturieren. Die Suchmaschine erlaubt Medizinern (und Biologen) wesentlich schneller, relevante Suchresultate zu finden.

Die in MeshPubMed verwendete Technologie ist generisch und kann prinzipiell für beliebige Texte und beliebige Wissensbasen (Ontologien) eingesetzt werde. Sie wurde von einer Arbeitsgruppe um Prof. Dr. Michael Schroeder an der Technischen Universität Dresden und Transinsight, einem spin-off der TU, entwickelt.
