Der Flughafen liegt in Mahébourg (Südost)

Der internationale Flughafen von Mauritius wird umgangssprachlich auch Plaisance genannt. Seine offizielle Bezeichnung ist aber: Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport of Mauritius. Der Flughafen liegt 5 km südwestlich des Ortes Mahébourg und ca. 40 km von Port Louis, der Hauptstadt von Mauritius, entfernt. Betreibergesellschaft ist die AML.

Plaisance ist das Drehkreuz von Air Mauritius, die mit Verbindungen nach Rodrigues, Réunion, Frankfurt, Paris, Sydney und Singapur ein interkontinentales Streckennetz aufweist. Außerdem wird der Flughafen von Air France, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Condor Flugdienst, LTU, Emirates und South African Airways angeflogen.
