Samuel Sosa Peralta (* 12. November 1968 in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominikanische Republik), in seiner Heimat genannt Sami Sosa, in den USA Sammy Sosa, ist ein sehr erfolgreicher Spieler beim US-Baseballclub Texas Rangers.

Er spielte auch bei den Baltimore Orioles, den Chicago White Sox und bei den Chicago Cubs, wo er im Jahre 1998 den begehrten Titel des Most Valuable Player verliehen bekam.

Die Saison 2005 beendete Sammy Sosa mit 588 career home runs, was ihm dem Platz 5 in der Major leagues list of lifetime home run leaders einbrachte.
